Cornwall Little League proudly fielded 4 Softball and 5 Baseball teams, with 112 players, and 22 Coaches. Our dedicated players practiced daily, pushing themselves to improve their games and bond with their teams. Dressed proudly in Cornwall green, they represented CLL fiercely, taking the field in a total of 42 tournament games, winning 24 of those contests. Even when they took a loss, they went down swinging, heads high and displaying excellent sportsmanship. Our Major Softball girls went further than any of our other teams, bringing the District 19 and Section 3 flags home, and falling by the narrowest margin at the State tournament. Watching that final game had us on the edge of our seats, and we were so proud to hear our girls singing and cheering each other on to the very last second of the game. We hope that these girls and their families will remember this day for their whole lives, and always be proud of themselves and their teammates. Enormous thanks to all of the coaches who gave so much extra time to bring these teams to the field ready to win, to the CLL volunteers who managed their paperwork and uniforms and concessions and fields, to the families who managed so many extra practices and lined the fields cheering our kids on, and to our community who came out to watch and support during games and honks. From the first cold April morning at our Opening Ceremonies, to this hot July night, it's been an amazing 2024 Little League Season! We'll see you soon for Fall Ball, and again next spring. THANK YOU!
